Parenthood.

Everyone asks me if I take a bazillion pictures of my kid, and the short answer is, probably not as many as you’d think. But every now and then, it will be a super dreamy morning or an especially gorgeous golden hour, I’ll get a little twinkle in my eye and hustle everyone outside to play so I can snap away. Venice is approaching 16 months and I’d say I have probably taken about 20,000 images of her so far. The thought of going through all of them and organizing gives me some serious anxiety. I usually pull one or two favorites to share in the moment and then I “save the rest to go through later”… we’ll see if that ever happens. Motherhood has certainly been a roller coaster for me. In the beginning, it was very hard to find balance between running my business and figuring out how to be a parent.

At last, I feel like we’re finally in a groove and it has all become so fun. I’m so thankful for all the love and support I have in my life, it’s a really good feeling to be above the fog. Since I haven’t posted any images of my babe since she was born, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites from the last little impromptu shoot I did with her and our dog, Bixby. They are quite the pair, and their relationship is one of my favorite things to capture. Enjoy and have a lovely holiday weekend!
